Currently, we are all still working, there are lots of tasks that keep us busy working from home during the lockdown. But after the office ‘virtual’ doors have closed I am finding time to spend time each day to enjoy all these things:
1. Progress with my online ‘day skipper’ theory course and exams. I had set myself a goal to complete this by May 2020, however, this target may not be reached but I am well on my way.
2. I have been a big pilates fan for many years but although I have tried it I have never really been able to ‘get’ yoga. I still don’t think I am totally in the zone but I am certainly putting a 20 minute session into my daily life for the time being.
3. Lying down on the terrace at night watching meteors ! Surprising and simply stunning! How to watch the best meteor showers of 2020
4. Weekly quiz night with my family… and realising I know nothing! (or maybe they are cheating)
5 Dreaming about adventures that I want to go on .. check out the great ’Shane McConkey’ ‘Bethany Hamilton’ ’Tommy Caldwell”… any of these adventure icons will inspire you to go for your own particular dream.
I am enjoying more regular daily exercise with the two little pooches Millie and James than I normally would at this time of the year, shutting safely down chalets and contracts was obviously a little more hurried and a process that we would just be embarking on with the end of the season upon us in the coming two weeks. Sunday 18th April would have seen our last guests leaving resort in La Plagne, La Rosiere, Morzine and Les Arcs with another two weeks still in the resort of Tignes.
Certainly watching too much TV; the obvious suspects of Tiger King, Breaking Bad, Money Heist and old films like Pretty Woman and Top Gun! have been helping to pass the time.
I am watching a short series called Unothordox currently on Netflix; you may wish to check it out?
I do love to live my life always with music in the background, many tracks remind us of various times in our life… Yesterday I remembered a lovely time at my cottage in St Ives when I played Celo Green over and over at volume, a great track to cook Sunday morning breakfast to…
I guess that the main thing we are all missing at this time is seeing family … I can’t wait to see my grown up children in the flesh when this is all over; dance around the kitchen, have a bbq, cheers with an Aperol spritz … other than that I will go for a picnic and spend time sitting on the ground outside, go somewhere where I can see the sea.. maybe eat ice cream on the prom in my home town; Leigh-on-Sea!
