Ski Resort Meribel Les Allues
Situated right in the centre of the Tarentaise Valley, is the well known ski resort of Méribel – founded and designed in the late 1930’s by a British Colonel who had a vision to create one of the finest ski areas in Europe, away from the likes of Austria and Germany. This charming valley is made up of a number of small villages ranging in altitude from 1100 – 1800m, all of which link in to the vast ski area of the 3 Valleys.
“Méribel les Allues” is one of those small villages and is found in the heart of the valley at 1100m, ideally located for direct access to the centre of Méribel ski resort via cable car and free bus service. Respected as the “administrative” centre of Méribel, Les Allues has kept its traditions with lovely old farm buildings, hidden alleys and a communal bread oven. More recent years have seen the uprising of chocolate box chalets, several restaurants, a supermarket and an upbeat bar with live music. Lying just 5 minutes drive from the popular centre of Méribel, it’s the perfect location for those looking for a more tranquil spot, away from the hustle and bustle of a large resort, but still offering easy access to the vast ski area.

Whether skier or snowboarder, beginner or advanced, the choice is endless – you’ll find tree skiing, cross country skiing, numerous hiking trails, huge powder bowls, beginner slopes that are rated top ten in the world, a network of 200 ski lifts and two of the best snowboard parks in Europe.
