Tignes Ski Resort
As one of Europe’s premier resorts and with an incredibly reliable snow record, the appeal of Tignes Ski Resort is understandable. With an altitude ranging from 2100 – 3488m, guaranteed snow conditions, a wide ski terrain, fast and efficient lift system, a long ski season, a glacier and a beautiful lake – what’s not to like.
The resort was largely developed in the 1960’s and it has to be said that the style of the buildings reflect this, however in recent years, considerable work has been carried out to markedly improve the overall look of this great resort.
Tignes ski resorts shares 300km of pistes with the neighbouring resort of Val d’Isere, an immense area linked together to form the infamous “Espace Killy” ski terrain, aptly named in honour of Jean Claude Killy – the triple Olympic French ski racer.
